Linda Guarente (“Nonni”) has enjoyed painting using the mediums of pastels, watercolor and charcoal for many years.
Her focus is on capturing the spirit of the subject, whether it is a seascape at the New Jersey shore, a winter evening in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, or many nurturing paintings that make the viewer feel inspired.

Born in Springfield Pennsylvania, Linda’s mentors, her grandfather, mother and sister were instrumental in sharing their passion of painting with her. She sharpened her painting techniques at Immaculata University and in private studios in Swarthmore. Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Linda’s love of life and optimism comes through in all of her paintings. Linda said “I focus on the lighting and shadows of the subject that I paint so that it will form a memorable picture in the mind of the viewer-
-creating a feeling that you want to be there at that moment in time.

Linda’s love the New Jersey beaches comes from her visits there every summer as a young girl with her family. Linda draws her inspiration from her wonderful memories as well as the hope and expectation from each new sunset, from the
the light that caresses a wave or a garden flower. These moments are expressions that are so beautifully demonstrated in her work.

“To nurture, enjoy, and inspire”…these are the feelings that Linda hopes to share with those who appreciate her work.

Linda resides in Cape May, New Jersey. You may send any requests or comments to: nonniart1949@gmail.com
